April 2012 Favorites!

Hello Beauties! Another month is nearing to an end. I want to share with you all some products that I have used and loved this month.

Too Faced Natural Eye Palette.

Orly in Blue Collar.

Dial NutriSkin body lotion. It absorbs quickly and out of all the lotions I have tried, it leaves my skin feeling hydrated.

Revlon Lustrious lipstick in Siren. This is such a bright and pretty color. I have been wearing this quiet a bit this month.

NYX Jumbo Eye Pencil in Cottage Cheese. I use this in my inner corner and water line. It has a sheen that really helps open you eye.

Leopard Love Complexion Perfection Kit. This has a bronzer, blush and a brightener. I have used the bronzer and brightener everyday since I purchased this. I love the blush too, but I like to switch up my blushes, so I don't wear this one everyday.

I have a couple of return items. I have never stopped using them, but I haven't talked about them in a while.

Maybelline's Color Tattoos. My top fave out of the group is Tough as Taupe. It is just a easy color to wear.

And Maybelline's Dream Bouncy blush. I love this blush, it adds a light fresh touch of color to your cheeks.

And I have an honorable mention. Too Faced Lip Insurance. I never really used lip primers, but after getting this as a free gift with a purchase, I have been trying it out and it has changed my mind. It really does extend the wear time of your lipsticks. I will be purchasing a full size once this runs out.

And there you have it! My favorites from the month of April!

What have been products you have used alot this past month?

Thanks so much for stopping by!!

Brow Envy kit by Too Faced

Hello Beauties!

Today, I want to talk about a brow kit I purchased a couple months ago. The Brow Envy kit by Too Faced. This is a great kit for everyone, from beginners to veterans of makeup.

It has everything you need for a complete brow kit.

It comes with easy to follow guide.

Setting Wax, creamy Highlighter, and Two colors Blonde and Brunette. They can be mixed for customizing.

It also comes with a small angle brush, spoolie, tweezers and an eye brow pencil.
And stencils in three different shapes for easy shaping.

I love this kit. It has made it so easy for me to do my brows. I know this may be a little on the pricier side at $35, but there is alot of product in this kit, so it will last me a while. The setting wax is really good and it does help my brows to last all day and into the night.

I will say that after my first use of the stencils ( I used Girl Next Door), I haven't used them since. Once I got the shape down, it is just a matter of doing my weekly tweezing to keep the shape. I also haven't used the pencil that much. I just don't find that I need it for my particular needs. But it is a good pencil. One of the better ones I have used.

The tweezers are really good, and are precise and haven't lost their grip as of yet. (I have had this kit since February).

The two colored brow shadows have a very nice texture and offer the right amount of color payoff. I have no complaints with them.

The highlighter is creamy and although I do use it from time to time, I don't really find I exactly need it or that the kit really needed it. I use it just because its in there.

Overall I like the kit, the product is very good quality and find it very convenient for travel and everyday use because of it being all in one place. I would have liked to have seen a mirror in it, and the packaging could have been slightly more slender.

If you have this kit, please tell me what you think of it. Or share with me what you use for you brows.

Thanks so much for stopping by!!

xoxo

My Spring/Summer Clothing Favorites

Hello Beauties! I hope everyone is looking forward to a great weekend.

Today I want to share some of my favorite spring items from my closet. I love dresses and skirts when the temps rise, and have quite a collection of them. And tend to wear them alot in the spring and summer. I just feel dresses are more comfortable and cooler in the hot and humid southern heat.

Here are a few of my dresses that stood out for me to share. They all ended up being Jessica Simpson dresses lol

This butterfly dress is so pretty, I have had it for roughly two years and I have yet to tire of it.

This Jessica Simpson dress is so comfortable and girly.

The color of this dress makes me happy. So pretty and green!

As much as I love my dresses, I still like my t-shirts and shorts and random casual clothes.

I bought this top from Dillards and I love the cool look of the shirt. It easily goes with jeans or colorful shorts.

I am loving the pastel and brightly colored shorts from Old Navy. They wear so comfortable and so fun to mix and match different tops. Great to color block with.

I also have alot of t-shirts. I have pretty much every color and style, from basic crew neck to v-necks. So easy to throw one of these on with jeans or shorts and just go. I get most of my T's from Old Navy.

My wedges are my FAVORITE shoe for spring and summer. Being short (5'0) they give me height without pain or discomfort. So easy to walk in, I can wear them all day.

I wanted to add a couple of perfumes I tend to wear alot during this time of year. Lolita Lempicka's Fleur de Corail and dolce & Gabbana rose the one.

What is your favorite items in your closests?

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Naturally Soft FOTD

Hello Beauties! I have been using my Natural Eye Palette by Too Faced alot in the past couple of weeks. I am loving the colors so much!

Here is a look I have been using for my daily look. I love the simplicity and softness.

I want to share  how I created this look with you! I hope you enjoy!
After doing my normal foundation routine, I add my bronzer to the hollows of my cheeks, temples and along my jaw line. I used Peach Leopard by Too Faced
 The blush is Candy Leopard.
Then I used my brightener, Pink Leopard, along my cheek bone, above the outer portion of my eyebrow and down my nose.

For my eyes, I applied Silk Teddy (a satin soft pink) over my lid up to the crease.

Next using Push Up (coppery brown) along the the crease and outer corner of the eye.

Using Sexspresso (matte brown) outer half of the crease and along my lower lash line.

Using a soft creamy white, (I used Heaven) to highlight along the brow bone. And to finish up my eyes, I used Clinique Lash Doubling Mascara.

For my lips, I used Sex Machine by Nars
This is an effortless look, that I am really stuck on at the moment and I hope you enjoyed!
Do you have a "go to" daily makeup routine?

NOTW (Nails of the week)

Hello my Beauties! I hope everyone is having a great week so far. It is almost the weekend yay!

This week I have been enjoying blues and greens. It has been so pretty outside with all the new green growth and such blue skies so that has been my inspiration. And the following polishes have been my choice for the week.

                           Orly Blue Collar.

This is such a great color for spring. It is a creamy sky blue that reached desired opacity in two coats. It has the perfect consistency , not to runny or to thick. And glides on for easy application. I have China Glaze Ray-Diant on my accent nail.

My next polish that I am currently wearing is China Glaze Four Leaf Clover.

As you can see it is a very fresh, bright creamy green. It went on very smooth and reached desired opacity in two coats. It too, has a good consistency for easy application. It is such a rich colour and it is one of the few greens I actually enjoy wearing.

I am really please with these polishes and honestly can't think of any cons for them.

Are you a fan of blue and/or green polishes? If so, what are they?

Thanks so much for stopping by!

First order from ebay!

Hello Beauties! I hope everyone is having a great day! It is surprisingly chilly out today. I guess it is a normal spring day, but I am just not use to it. heh.

But we are not here to discuss the weather, but about my first ever purchase from ebay! I know, I am late to the party. But shopping on ebay was never anything I thought to do.

I just never included ebay on my list of places to shop. That is until this week, when talking to Lily from Beauty's Bad Habit about buying perfumes and ebay.

I decided to go over and look around for a perfume I love. And what did I see! My discontinued perfume. For cheap! Originally $80 on Sephora (before it was discontinued), I paid just $23!!!

Bvlgari Omnia. This is such a beautiful scent! This is an Oriental scent. Notes include mandarin, saffron, masala tea, and white chocolate. It lasts all day on me, and I get so many compliments every time I wore it. Having a bottle of this perfume again has me so happy.

Next I bought six NYX jumbo eye pencils. For 17.29 you can choose six colors from a wide range of colors. And I thought the little sticker the seller used was so cute:

Here are the six pencils:

                                 Cottage Cheese, Yogurt, Cashmere

Rocky Mountain Green, Peacock, Purple Velvet

Here are the swatches with a flash:

                                      And swatches without a flash:

I am so happy with the colors I chose. I think these are well pigmented and creamy. When I swatched these, they went on smoothly and easily. The colorpay off is wonderful.

I am very happy with my order and the products were in perfect condition. And they arrived so quickly. I ordered them on the 2nd and they arrived today. I ordered the NYX from Joy's Cosmetics and the perfume from AAA Merchants. Both are Top-Rated Sellers.

Do you like NYX jumbo pencils?  What colors do you have?
