A few of my favorite lipsticks and glosses

Hello Beauties! I am so glad it is Friday! And it actually feels like spring outside instead of summer, so double yay!

Today, I want to share with you some of my favorite lipsticks and gloss. I have a quite a bit of products that I like, so I had to shorten it down a bit.

First off is my eos lip balm. I have this in a few scents, and I keep one in my purse at all times.

MAC in Costa Chic. Such a vibrant and pretty color. This is perfect for spring!
 Swatch of Costa Chic:

Clinique in Peach Pop. A lovely lipstick that is moisturizing, with long wear.

 Swatch of Peach Pop:

Too Faced in Cougar. A new lipstick in my collection. I find it wears well with great color payoff. I must get more colors!
 Swatch of Cougar:

Clinique Chubby Stick in Super Strawberry. This is such a creamy lipcolor. Very moisturizing.

Swatch of Super Strawberry:

Wet n Wild Fushia with Blue Pearl. This is the least expensive lipstick I own. At only $1, this is an amazing lipstick. Great color payoff, moisturizing and good wear.
Swatch of Wet n Wild:

What is your favorite lipstick in your collection? You least favorite?

GlamzyPro App for Android and Iphone

Hello Beauties! I recently won a most wonderful app for my Android phone. The GlamzyPro app (Thank you Ashley from http://blog.alelizabeth.com ). It is available for both the Android and iphone/ipad. There is the free version and GlamzyPro version, which is around $2.99 for full access to all the features.

I have not stopped playing with this app since I installed it. It is not only fun to "goof off" with, but a great tool to use to work on ideas. I could see me using this to help work on a clients ideas while with the client and so they can see how it would look. And let's not forget about the trees we will save by not using the paper version.

Here is the opening menu. I am going to click Get Started option:

You will be taken to this page where you choose a face shape.

You will then choose a style, from subtle to complete.

Once you choose a style, you will come to this page.

When you hit your menu button, you will get this pop-up with customizable options for brushes, colors and canvas.

The brushes button will give you this menu. I will click Edit Brush.

And get this window to adjust the brush size, intensity and opacity.

You can also choose between MAC and Makeup Forever makeup color options for foundation, eyeshadows, lipsticks and various other options. Below are some examples:

                                                Foundation:

Eyeshadow:

lipstick:

This zoom feature makes it easy to get close for a more accurate application. With the ability to drag the face around the screen. Using the the last button will snap the face back to original size and center. You don't have to worry about trying to get both eyes exact on your own. Opening the main menu up and clicking Canvas will open a menu with the option to copy left to right or vice versa. (Look below to see this menu) This works bascily like a copy paste feature and will apply the look on the opposite eye.

And the finished (although rather rushed heh) face!

Once you are satisfied with your work, you can hit the menu button and click Canvas to get this menu, where you can save the look! You use this menu to also submit canvas to the Glamzy site or email.

Once you click save you will be asked to name your canvas and done!

As I mentioned above, you can submit your canvas to the Glamzy website, where you and others can rate your looks and see all the details about the look. From face shape to the colors used.

You will have your own page with the collection of looks you've created.

So, all in all this is a great app. I haven't encountered any issues so far, and I would recommend this to anyone who loves to play and be creative with makeup.

If you already have this app, please let me know what you think!

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Today, I seen that Beautylish is apparently starting up a store...

Not much is known about the Beautylish store at this time. So,why bother talking about it then? Well, because right now, if I can get friends to sign up, I can get priority access and earn rewards. The more friends the bigger the rewards, up to $100 credit that can be used at the Beautylish store.  The same goes for you! You can get your own link to send to friends and family that will count towards your own reward count.

It appears to be a no strings attached, so nothing to lose!

New blog series!

Hello Beauties! It has been a few days since I have posted a blog, but it feels like so much longer. I have been rather busy the past few days with my birthday, hurt knee and trying to work out a look as a guest blogger on Beauty By Krystal's blog and youtube channel.

I have grown so attached to this blog and to all of you, I just HAD to post something.

I thought about it, and I would like to maybe do a weekly series. I ask a question related to beauty/hair/skin/fashion and you answer. The form of question can range from a "Would you rather" to "What is" and everything in between.

I have tossed around a few names, and I keep coming back to "Tell Me Tuesday". I am not set on the name, but until I come up with something that makes me go "YES! That's it!" I will just stick with it.

So, what better time to start than now!!

What do you consider the most important item or step in your beauty routine?

I look forward to hearing your answers!

China Glaze Colours of the Capitol (The Hunger Games)

Hello Beauties! I have been a fan of The Hunger Games Trilogy for close to two years, having read the books twice.

When I heard that a movie was going to be made I was cautiously excited. (We know how our favorite books can sometimes be messed up when translated into movies.) But after Suzanne Collins explained the vision of the movie, I allowed myself to get into full on excitement mode. I have collected key chains, necklace, pins, bookmarks, and yes even a board game (among other random merch.)

So, you can imagine my reaction when I heard about China Glaze's Hunger Games inspired collection. I waited patiently for any bit of news for the release. And finally the Sally's near me got in the shipment. Way later than most other places..(my luck). But I have them just the same, and in time for the movie release.

I picked out four from the twelve colors. I will in time, collect them all, but I chose these as my top must haves from the collection.

Riveting, Stone Cold, Dress Me Up, Luxe and Lush

Riveting

An absolutely gorgeous color. It is a bright red orange with gold sheen. I almost put it back for Agro, but I am so glad I didn't. This will be a color I will wear often. Reached desired opaqueness in three coats.

Stone Cold

A charcoal black with a silver sheen. It drys matte, which helps give it that stone look. I don't normally like matte polish, but this may very well change my mind. Opaque in pretty much one coat.

Dress me up.

My original favorite when I first saw the colors. I still love it, but it takes second after Riveting. This is a very proper color. It is a pop of color that can worn to work or special events without being distracting. It is a creamy "dark rose pink". Opaque in two coats easily.

Luxe and Lush

A clear base, with shimmery flakes that give off a blue, silver, green and purple sheen.
I have it on plan nails, but will look great over polish.

What do you think of these colors? Are there any particular colors from The Colours of the Capital collection that you like that isn't shown here?

I hope you all enjoyed, and have a great day!

xoxo

I went to my favorite place today! The Library!

I LOVE LOVE LOVE the library. I look forward to my biweekly visit so I can spend countless hours looking through shelves of books, and sitt...
